I am a freelance software, web application and machine learning developer. I've been working with Scala and functional programming for the past 5 years, with Machine Learning and Data Science.
I prototyped a chatbot for a startup in the travel industry. To do this, I used Stanford NLP Technologies, Python, Scala and IBM Watson cloud solutions.
I have used NLP techniques, such as slot filling, for dialogue management. I worked on a rule-based NLP model to extract the intent of an incoming message. For the server infrastructure, we used Twitter Finagle with Finch as HTTP server.
