Staff writer and Behavior Driven Development

I am an experienced staff writer and have a solid experience in Behavior Driven Development. During my working years I have attended editorial meetings and pitched story ideas, wrote, researched and transformed articles for a print and online version of the newspaper. I have gathered multimedia components such as photos and videos and conducted interviews for each story. Uploaded articles, videos and photos to the website. I have managed social media accounts to engage and grow our readership, performed copy editing and write-ups before publication implemented strategies to optimize our blog experience. The services that I was delivering included making drafted summaries and edited reviews of newly published books for marketing on the company's website, creating full spread advertorials, distributing marketing materials to third- party organizations and critics. I have researched topics covered in new books to ensure marketing content was illustrative and concise. Performed consumer research to expand marketing potential. I was responsible for developing and assigning ideas for news coverage, feature articles, and investigative pieces. Have worked with staff writers one-on-one to clarify stories. Let me also mention that I have collaborated with editors to formulate relevant and interesting stories and themes for writers, often resulting in large increase in site traffic, facilitated improvements to site metrics by providing quality content on a consistent basis. Generate discussions that contribute to public understanding of important issues by engaging readers. I have a solid experience in BDD. I was responsible for having exposed the development team to the Agile practices, contributed greatly to increases in code quality and productivity through my leadership and guidance in areas such as Test/Behavior Driven Development, Refactoring, Pair Programming and Agile Estimation and Planning. I have introduced the use of automated testing tools such as Cucumber to reveal and document, as well as drive development of, behavior in a large legacy code base mostly Java and Perl. During my experience I have participated in decision-making areas beyond programming such as product development, hiring, position creation. I have developed web applications that drastically improved the efficiency of existing processes while maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in a billing and collections environment. Identified and removed weaknesses and inefficiencies through analysis of existing processes, updated and upgraded existing Microsoft Access applications and ported/replace them with web-based solutions when appropriate. My services included developing and deploying SQL Server Integration Services and Distributed Transaction Services Packages, establishing and executing test procedures, analyzing test results, logged defects, recommending process improvements. During my working years I have coordinated testing environments, plans, and schedules with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, DBAs, SysAdmins, and Test Lab Engineers.
