Emma did a fantastic job for us with a custom requirement of react + rails project. The only thing I wish she did better was estimating the job, but due to the complexity of the project, I wouldn't hold it against her. Definitely will hire her for future projects.

Emma has been a pleasure to work with. She is competent, has solid engineering knowledge, and produces output quickly. We communicate exclusively over Slack, so I can't speak to her verbal communication abilities, but she was easy to work with over chat. Our schedules did not overlap very much, but that didn't stop her from being effective. Thank you Emma!

I've hired several contractors on countless projects over the course of my career. Emma was definitely an outlier, and for good reason, too. Emma always went above and beyond to ensure I got what I wanted. Even if I had several adjustments and additions beyond the agreed upon scope of work, Emma didn't disagree, yet she behaved as you would want anybody working on your project to behave, and not by just agreeing with you and doing the work (or disagreeing), but with critique and input that added a nice complimentary perspective. I believe, with all things, you get what you pay for. And sure, you could get anyone on Upwork to crunch out some code for you, but I'm 99% certain you will regret it (trust me, been there done that - multiple times). What you pay for when you hire Emma, is the technological knowledge, insight, and criticism that supplements your team - and that is worth its weight in gold.
