Some might think that technology is a great improvement to our lives. This may not be quite veracious. Several hundred of thousands of people, most who do labor work, loose their jobs due to the replacement of automations and machinery. One might be shocked to learn that the constant improvement in technology might be the downfall of many. Robots are no longer the mechanical pieces that talk in futuristic movies. When the machines start to replace the simple labor jobs that we have, many people from the lower class will fail to obtain new jobs due to the low level of education that they receive, which will cause the ruination for the labor workers from the lower class.

Since robots play a pivotal role in many companies and businesses, it can be easily predicted that automations are soon to be the future of humanity. The increase in the usage of automations and machinery would result in the unemployment of a multitude of people. According to ‘The Automation Paradox’, computer automation’s existence in occupations is not always good like it would seem to be. Although automations make our lives much much easier, it must be kept in mind that the lower class who make money off of labor work will be troubled due to automations’ replacement of their only income opportunity. This would result in the rich with even more money while the poor stay in rags. The affluent barons, those who originate from wealthy families, will no longer have to lose money labor workers’ salaries.

A seemingly possible conclusion to the loss of jobs for the people whose jobs were replaced by automations could be to find new jobs that are made available due to the existence of automations in daily work. If one were to think thoroughly about this matter, one would find that this has a very slight and tiny chance of success. The reasoning behind this is much more in depth and precise than it seems. The jobs that automations would open requires the worker to be skilled with machines and understand the concept of technology. Because this particular set of knowledge is not provided in most basic education systems, there is no way that a lower class worker would be able to adjust to their new job immediately.

Although It can be agreed upon by many that automations in our lives is truly a beneficial factor added into our lives, the people who will be troubled by this should not be forgotten. In accordance with the article ‘Heads up, Humans’, a report by the National Bureau of Economic Research found that between 1970 and 2007, automation lowered both the number of jobs available and the amount those jobs paid. This information stacks up as evidence that automations can have an enormous amount of negative effects on some people.

Despite the fact that automations causes dramatic economical changes to people, it is also to blame for the cause of the ill mentality of few. On the report of ‘The Automation Paradox’, white-collar jobs, highly skilled work in an office, can be replaced by automations which would demand policies to redistribute wealth. If the time when automations’ replacement in management roles come, workers would no longer be able to learn from personal advice and be mentored by their supervisors. In conclusion, effects from automations are to slowly become part of our lives will reach out to influence many people. Let this be a reminder to all of humanity that automations and machines are slowly but surely will creep into our lives fast and the lower class is not ready to adapt to the ever-changing mechanization of the world.
